Andy's Telecom Centre Ltd

After moving to Paphos in July 2016 and spending the majority of our time outdoors, the time come when we decided to get to for the longer winter nights. October 26th, we called into Andys Telecom centre in Paphos, where he showed us a Funow digit box, costing €129 but no monthly subscription which was great. He went through the channels to show us what we could get, seemed impressive, so bought the box. He said it was easy to install. He gave us a piece of paper that he had photocopied, basically the idiots guide, went home, plugged it in, followed instructions, didn't work. Ended up calling the shop, got it sorted, or so we thought, ended up calling him another 2 times. Asked if he would come out, we obviously would pay, but he wouldn't. All we managed to get was sky news, and download the occasional film, which we learned was extremely poor quality. Spoke to a friend and they set up expat to for us on there, and all seemed fine for about 2 months. Then one day could get nothing, all we did was sit there watching it going round and round, buffering. Decided to take the box back to Andys shop, thinking he would be very helpful, only for him to tell us that we have messed the system up completely by downloading all sort of things from the internet. We are not technically minded, only wanted the tv to watch to,never have hooked it up to a laptop or anything of the sort. He would not honour his 1 year guarantee and refund our money, and said we only had about 2 to 3 months left on it anyway, when actually Andy it is 6 months. Had been in his shop several times before for various different things, and quite often there seemed to be customers returning items or complaining about goods. Left the shop without digi box after 'having words', totally dissatisfied. Regret ever going to his shop to start with. Would most certainly never in a million years recommended his shop to anyone. Very poor business manner and dishonest.
